Orchestral
My father would binge-listen classical music. Rachmaninoff, DvoÅ™ák, Mussorgsky. He wasn't Russian but he sure was drawn to their music. I don't know if it was this music, collectively acting as the soundtrack to my childhood, that was solely responsible for my evolution as a composer, but it sure played a part.

My favorite creative endeavor is writing for orchestra. The variety of sonic texture that you can achieve from the vast spectrum of instruments is endlessly appealing to me. Sometimes I think I've decided on a favorite instrument, only to change my mind shortly thereafter. I'm like a teenager that's just started dating.
"Oh, violin, I love you!"
"What's that you say bassoon? You sound really good in that register? Let's hang out!"

Pretty sure YOU won't be pouting when you check out some of the sweet tracks below. You'll hear those Russian composers (Time Well Spent is my Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini) as well as many of my other influences.
